Bushfire fuel load reduction

Goats can be an effective tool for reducing fine fuels, dense undergrowth and selected woody vegetation that can contribute to bushfire risk. Studies have shown that fuel load in bushfires is mainly branches and twigs smaller in diameter than your finger. Their ability to work through steep and difficult terrain makes targeted grazing particularly useful in areas where machinery access is limited.
