An alternative approach to weed control
When landowners are looking for solutions to problems such as blackberry, thistles, ragwort, gorse or dense scrub, conventional options can include herbicide spraying, mechanical clearing or even drone spraying. Targeted goat grazing provides another approach—using the natural browsing behaviour of goats to physically reduce unwanted vegetation without applying herbicides.
This can be particularly useful on steep or difficult-to-access properties and in areas where chemical application may be undesirable, such as around waterways, sensitive environments and food-production areas.
